Ex-Nign Leaders & the Present Leadership Dispensation.

Nigerian Democracy in a hot seat. Ex-Nigerian leaders & the present leadership should bring out their good leadership ideas to govern this country  and to protect our democracy to attract foreign investors to grow our economy and move Nigeria forward. Our ex-leaders instead of writing letters and sitting back home at their comfort and give orders/advice that are not acceptable to the current leaders due to their understanding, therefore creating a scenario that will bring a reproach and disunity to our country is not acceptable and not what Nigeria expect from them presently rather peace and unity.

Last week it was the former president Olusegun Obasanjo in an open letter and the creation of a third force "A Coalition movement to ousted the current president Muhammadu Buhari. Obasanjo's open letter attracted so many opinions and views, which created divisions amongst Nigerians according to our various views and political interest.

This week another ex-leader, general Ibrahim Babangida also came up with his own open advice to President Buhari advising him not to contest in 2019 election, which directly shows a support on his old coleague and ex-leader Obasanjo open letter. The two elder statesmen maybe right because of the present insecurity challenges in the country and President Buhari's weakness, health challenges, inability to stop the killings by herdsmen and other insecurity challenges with his health issues he had sometimes ago which the ex-leaders positions represent for Buhari not to recontest in 2019. There are ways elderly people talk to each other, which are quite different on how young people address themselves.

Nigerians are feeling the heat in our polity because of these letters and advices form ex-leaders. I think what Nigerians needs from their ex-leaders is to meet President Buhari who is one of their colleague in the Barack and in many other places, should come together in any place of their choice discuss on Nigerian problems provide solutions on how to move this country forward without any favouritism or blemish.
As a writer I advice the ex-leaders and President Buhari to act responsibly and fast on issues about the progress of Nigerian economy, insecurity challenges rather than heating up the polity, Nigerians will hold them all reponsible if anything happens to our democracy and our Unity.
